The Young and the Restless recap for October 19-23, 2020, features a number of characters suffering for their crimes and so much more!
Sometimes, thoughtless mistakes can change the course of someone’s life, forever. When Elena (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate (Sean Dominic) allowed their emotions to get the best of them, they had no idea exactly how much damage their affair would bring.
Elena didn’t fathom the fact that a devastated Devon (Bryton James) would kick her out of the penthouse that they shared together. Nate couldn’t have guessed that his cousin would violently lash out and deliver him a blow that might jeopardize his future as a surgeon.
Likewise, Adam (Mark Grossman) had no idea the price he would have to pay for his needling Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) over Sharon (Sharon Case). But now he does.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) packed a bag and bid him adieu and she promised that this breakup will be a permanent one. Fool Chelsea half a dozen times, shame on her. Publicly declare that you and another woman are end game, shame on you.
And then there’s Kyle (Michael Mealor). There was no way he could have known that sending Lola (Sasha Calle) a few, harmless text messages on the night of his elopement with Summer (Hunter King) would result in Summer upping sticks and dumping him.
But dump him she did. And then she spent a week stalking him disguised as a Generation Z-er in thick sunglasses and a big floppy hat. As one does.
Glorious Glo, AKA Gloria Fisher Abbott Bardwell (Judith Chapman) is back and better and bitchier than before. But what exactly is she hiding in the little leather satchel? Diamonds? Thumb drive with a purloined spec script? Her top beauty secrets?
Dina’s (Marla Adams) passing continues to be the death that keeps on giving. Now each member of the extended Abbott family – minus Billy (Jason Thompson) and Theo (Tyler Johnson) because their trash relatives – will receive a specially-handcrafted piece of jewelry containing a section of the much-sought-after Teardrop of Love.
Because splitting a few-centuries-old gem was exactly the way to go. Let’s hope nobody argues over who gets what and let’s also hope that no one loses said bauble. According to Lauren (Tracey Bregman), THAT’S how the curse gets started.
Anybody else wish that Rey and Sharon had decided to go the whole hog and actually marry on All Hallows Eve rather than the oh so trite New Year’s Eve?
So, Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) supposed birth mother never actually had a baby? One minute she was childless, and the next she was child-full? This complicates matters. And it also leaves us with no choice to start a poll on who YOU think Amanda (and Hilary’s) birth mother actually was. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
