The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 19-23, 2020, features Thomas’s psychosis increasing by leaps and bounds, Liam attempting emotional maturity, and more.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

Just when we thought that Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) had turned the corner and that his weekly therapy sessions with his mother were going well, he goes and stars playing with dolls.

Well, not dolls. Just one, life-size replica of Hope. And she talks. But only to Thomas. And she says all the sweet things that Thomas has longed to hear from the real McCoy. It’s nice for crazy, friend-less, lady-less Thomas. But it’s SUPER creepy for poor, terrified us.

The Pretense of Personal Growth

Winter has finally arrived in hell. Apparently. There just simply isn’t another explanation for Liam’s (Scott Clifton) *gasp* APOLOGY to Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)! He took responsibility for stepping out of line. He agreed that Steffy’s life was hers to lead as she saw fit. And he gave Finn his blessing…or words to that effect.

If we didn’t know any better we’d say that this normally ego-centric, wholly selfish character had actually turned over a new leaf. But then we remembered that Hope practically browbeat him into having his “epiphany.” Kinda hard to be impressed when the change of heart wasn’t even really Liam’s to begin with, but rather a result of Hope calling him out for his bull.

BB Musings

Is there anyone out there remotely interested in Zende (Delon de Metz) and Zoe’s (Kiara Barnes) sudden fascination with one another? This “coupling” has been on screen for all of, what, 10 minutes? And suddenly Miss Buckingham can’t decide between him and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), the lawyer she’s been lusting after for about two months now?

Hope: “Liam, please. As your wife, I am asking you to take a step back and let Steffy live her life.” Wait…when did these two actually tie the knot? Do they really think that that adorable ceremony that Douglas presided over was legally binding?

Julius: “The Avants don’t turn their backs on each other.” REALLY? Somebody better contact Maya and tell her that her daddy has been replaced by a pod person. How else to explain the fact that he managed to say, “my daughters,” without the words sticking in his throat.

Charlie: “Carter, this is can’t miss. This company makes a device that attaches to your shoe and should you come within five feet of chewing gum, on the sidewalk, it sounds an alarm. Carter, this device could revolutionize walking as we know it.” First, how could Carter NOT invest in this product? Second, how can WE do so?

Charlie’s Tips For Romance: 1) Always be a good listener. 2) Always remember that you are always 100% wrong. Anybody else wanna know what the rest of the list entails? Also, how DARE Carter interrupt such sage advice!

Just what have Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) been up to since reuniting? Is Bill (Don Diamont) still fighting for Katie (Heather Tom)? Is Quinn (Rena Sofer) still in the proverbial doghouse? Will Shauna (Denise Richards) ever darken a Forrester door again? The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
