Should Chance and Daniel work together on Y&R?
Chance Chancellor and Daniel Romalotti had some coffee and some male bonding on The Young and the Restless. They considered working together. Not Daniel moving to the law enforcement side of things, but Chance considering the tech sector. Does this sound like a good idea?
No way, 16% of the audience doesn’t want to hear about it. Chance (Conner Floyd) is a lawman. He did…something super-important in Europe. He was driven to be away from his wife and son for it. With that level of commitment, he can’t possibly give it up now. Then all that sacrifice will be for nothing! Besides, if Chance quits, there will be no cops left in Genoa City. Who will be in charge of looking the other way every time Victor (Eric Braeden) commits yet another crime?
We could live with it, 39% agree, but only if the resulting storyline is worth it. Will this job change put Chance in Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) orbit? That could be fun, especially considering Phyllis’ history with Abby (Melissa Ordway). Would Phyllis go after her enemy’s ex-husband just to needle the Newman-Abbott heiress? In that case, this isn’t about working together. It’s about where Chance working with Daniel could lead him.
Finally, 45% of you are so sick of Chance the cop. Not just because he doesn’t seem to do any crime-solving. Not just because it’s what broke up him and Abby. But because it’s, well, kind of dull. Unless Chance is going to be at the center of a mystery, like who killed Ashland (Robert Newman), then he ends up sitting on the sidelines, just chatting up Sharon (Sharon Case) and drinking coffee. We want more for Jill’s (Jess Walton) grandson than that. And if a new job is what makes it happen, then we are all for it!
