When Will Adam Finally Feel He’s Worthy on Young and the Restless?

It doesn’t matter the lengths Adam Newman goes to for his family on The Young and the Restless. They continually make him feel like less than an afterthought. Or is it just Adam who feels that way? Will he ever settle down?

This is all on Adam (Mark Grossman). His insecurity is all his fault, 37% of you kick a man while he’s down. No one can humiliate you without your consent, Eleanor Roosevelt said, so if Adam doesn’t feel like he measures up to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) standards, or that he isn’t loved as much as Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) — forget Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), everybody else does — then he has no one to blame but himself.

Y&R: Bottomless Pit

It doesn’t matter what Victor does, 32% of voters dismiss, nothing will ever be enough for Adam. He wants to be validated in a manner not humanly possible. He’s a bottomless pit of need. He should maybe get some help for that.

The Young and the Restless: Father’s Day

The reason that Adam doesn’t believe he has Victor’s approval is that he doesn’t. Victor has never cared about Adam. He’s only cared about what his younger son could do for him, 22% of the audience decrees. If Victor was ever truly proud of Adam, then his son wouldn’t be so desperate for the pat on the head that never comes.

Forget your father, forget your family, a last-place 9% urge. You have Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in your corner. She gets you in a way no one else ever has. And she supports you in a way no one else ever will. Sally is enough to make you feel like you’re enough. Let the Newmans regret what they lost.
