When Jack Abbott first told Nikki Newman that Diane Jenkins was still alive on The Young and the Restless, Nikki refused to believe it. She had to see Diane with her own eyes.
Young and the Restless Polling
Diane (Susan Walters) tried to offer her side of the story to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), but, for some reason, the matriarch of the Newman family wasn’t keen to forgive the woman who she, for almost a decade, thought she’d killed. So what should Nikki do now?
Y&R: Just Ignore It
It seems that 41% are encouraging Nikki to ignore her nemesis. Diane has absolutely nothing to do with Nikki’s life now. She is no longer married to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Victor is not the father of Diane’s son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). And Nikki didn’t kill her, after all. Mrs. Newman never needs to deign to think about Ms. Jenkins ever again. The end.
Move On Young and the Restless Style
If Nikki must give Diane a single moment’s thought, 27% of you amend, then she can sing a few bars of Elsa’s “The past is in the paaaaaaasttttt.” Diane was something that happened to the Newman family, and now it’s over. Lesson learned, and life goes on.
You Better Think Y&R
Don’t rush into anything, Nikki, 25% of the audience advises. Diane may want to goad you into doing something, but there is no need for you to fall into her trap. Politely remove yourself and exit the situation. Then go home, and really think through your options. This situation needs to be handled delicately. Remember what happened the last time you made Diane angry.
Young and the Restless: Finish What You Started
Nikki already feels guilty about killing Diane, she might as well go ahead and do it for real, a bloodthirsty 7% advise. She already suffered for it, killing her now would be fair and balanced. That’s how justice works, right?
