The Young and the Restless is not known for its long-running marriages. Please don’t point us to Victor and Nikki. They’ve broken up numerous times, including during this most recent go-around.
But if anyone is destined to make it, who do you expect it to be? Here’s what a whopping 6,000 fans predicted would happen romantically on the soap in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.
It doesn’t matter how many lies they’ve told, 5% of viewers expect Summer (Allison Lanier) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) to make it through the Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) drama and come out all the stronger for it. These two love each other deeply, so they won’t let their mothers break them up!
Well, here’s a rare one — we’ve got a tie! And it concerns the Newman siblings. An equal 30% is confident in Nick (Joshua Morrow) staying with Sally (Courtney Hope) and in Victoria (Amelia Heinle) staying with Nate (Sean Dominic).
Sure, one of them is in a love triangle with his own brother — whose baby Sally happens to be carrying. And the other two got together while Nate was still living with Elena (Brytni Sarpy) — and got caught. These aren’t usually signs of a long-lasting love for the ages. But Victoria and Nick’s parents met when one was a stripper, and the other felt the urge to play Henry Higgins. So who knows? It could be a family tradition!
Would you believe 35% of voters feel confident in Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters), of all people? They have hurt each other for decades. Diane faked her death. Diane broke their son’s heart. Diane was accused of killing another of Jack’s exes. They seemed doomed. But you guys are romantics! This is a second, third, or fourth chance at love! Who wouldn’t be rooting for that?
