Sorry Not Sorry: Should Y&R’s Kyle Abbott Forgive Summer?

Kudos to Kyle Abbott on The Young and the Restless for twigging that something was up, following Summer Newman Abbott, and catching her with Phyllis.

And, to an extent, kudos to Summer for coming clean. Kind of. But now that Kyle knows the whole story, can he ever forgive his wife? What almost 2,000 voters are expecting:

It depends on what Summer (Allison Lanier) does next, 17% hedge. If he continues to put their family at risk by buying into Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) crazy and breaking law after law, then there is no way this marriage can be saved. Summer has made her choice. And Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) aren’t it.

Y&R Mistakes Were Made But Not By Kyle Abbott

Summer made a mistake, 22% of you insist. Has Kyle never made a mistake? How about the time he schemed with Victor (Eric Braeden) against his own family? Jack (Peter Bergman) forgave Kyle, so Kyle can forgive his wife. And he forgave Diane (Susan Walters) for much worse. Summer deserves the same courtesy. In fact, she deserves more. She wouldn’t even be in this position if it weren’t for Diane!

Young and the Restless: Lying Liar Who Lied

No way, 61% of the Young and the Restless audience doesn’t want to hear a word about it. Summer looked Kyle in the eye and lied. And then she lied some more. And then she lied about the lying. And when none of that worked, she basically blamed everyone but Phyllis for what happened. Like mother, like daughter.

Kyle tried his best to put his faith in Summer, but it just isn’t working. And, this time, it’s not his fault. He’s already forgiven Summer so much: Her blackmailing him, her dumping him, her ignoring him. This last should be the straw that broke the camel’s back. Summer has used up her goodwill.
