Chelsea Lawson is at loose ends on The Young and the Restless. Her obsession with Adam Newman ended when he tried to kill her. Her obsession with Rey Rosales ended when he was killed in a car accident. Her obsession with Sally Spectra is going nowhere, as the other woman refuses to engage.
Young and the Restless Polling
And her obsession with her son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is going strong, as she insists everyone consider him as amazing as she does. Which is fine on the mom front. But there’s still the love front. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) needs someone new to obsess over. And who should be back in town but Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)? Could this be a future pairing? Here’s what over 2,000 fans told us.
Never Ever In Genoa City
Nope, 89% wasted no time in voting. That is a very bad idea. Now, we realize why it might seem logical. Kyle has been with the love of his life for months now, which means he is long past due to pull one of his famous one-eighties and announce he never loved her at all, there is some other woman who has always held his heart. And Chelsea, well, she’s always gone for guys with money. So they would seem to be a perfect match. Except you would really hate that.
Chances Are Young and the Restless
Only 9% of you can see that happening. Chelsea is desperate for someone to pay her attention, and Kyle has a thing for older women — see: Locke, Tara. Chelsea is also blonde, like Tara, and the mom of a little boy, like Tara. So, sure, why not?
Sicker Than Thou
It’s a last place 2% of the audience who actually think it’s not Tara that Chelsea would remind Kyle of, but his mother. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is also a scheming woman. So, um, yeah, that’ll do it. But if that’s the case, wouldn’t Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) be a more likely bet?
