Allie Nguyen and Diane Jenkins seemed to hit it off right away when they met on The Young and the Restless. Of course, when they met, it was under false pretenses so now Allie knows to be wary of Diane, but should she be given a second chance?

Diane (Susan Walters) first introduced herself to Allie (Kelsey Wang) as Taylor Jensen trying to buy Allie’s father, Keemo’s house after Keemo passed away. When Allie learned she had a whole new family and this woman had a connection to them, she wasn’t sure what to think. Now that both of them are living in Genoa City, should Allie reconsider being friends with Diane?
Don’t Do It, Allie
A whopping 83% of you want to scream it from the rooftops — JUST NO! Allie should absolutely not befriend Diane, a woman who lied to her during a very vulnerable time in her life after she had just lost her father. Perhaps Allie would be right to become Diane’s friend if she had just told her the truth from the start.

There Are Possibilities Here
A much smaller 12% of you are just not sure. You saw how well Diane and Allie got along when they first met and Allie had no idea this woman had faked her own death and shared a child with a grandfather she didn’t even know she had. That was a lot to take in, but Diane hasn’t tried to hurt her and has been trying to make amends with Kyle (Michael Mealor), so she’s definitely not a hopeless cause. Of course, it could all be an act, as Diane has enjoyed causing so much trouble for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Therefore, Allie might be right to reserve judgment on her for now.
Sure, Why Not?
A very tiny 5% of you think Allie should definitely give Diane a second chance and become her pal. The woman is lonely living as the town pariah and Allie is lonely living as the town newcomer. They could be good for each other. After all, it was Diane who made sure she got to know her new Abbott family and learn a part of her father’s heritage.
