It would seem like the question has been settled once and for all on The Young and the Restless about who little Dominic Many Names biological parents truly are.

Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) bone marrow test proved that she is a 50% genetic match to Dominic, while Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) match was a whopping 100%. So who could possibly have any more doubts? We found fans who had plenty of doubts:

Y&R: One Version

Abby is definitely Dom’s mom, 60% of you say, since it was her egg that was implanted into Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). And a 50% match is what you would expect from a biological parent. However, 100% is much more biologically unlikely, so all the signs point to a big reveal where Devon isn’t related to Dominic at all.

Maybe Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) got in there somehow and switched the samples. Or, even more dramatically, maybe the sample Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) submitted back in the day which proved that he was sterile was popped back into the mix by a well-meaning doctor who figured, hey, why not? And Dominic is a biological Chancellor, after all!

The Young and the Restless: The Other Version

The tech at the clinic really screwed up and inseminated Mariah with Devon’s sperm instead of using Abby’s pre-fertilized egg. This way, according to 25% of the audience, Devon can be Dom’s bio dad, but Abby is not his mom. Which means the bone marrow testing folks screwed up, too. Wow, no wonder Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) wanted to open a law office in Genoa City. There are malpractice opportunities everywhere!

Y&R: One and Done

Oh, come on, 15% are fed up. How many twists and turns does this story need? The kid is who the show says he is. He has a bio mom, a bio dad, a legal dad, and a surrogate mom. Isn’t that enough?
