On last week’s The Young and the Restless, Adam Newman seemed relatively pleased to see his old partner in crime, Diane Jenkins. They made polite conversation, and Adam was open about his past with Diane with his new love interest, Sally Spectra.
Young and the Restless Polling
Sally (Courtney Hope) seemed intrigued…and not at all threatened. Which opens the door to…should Adam (Mark Grossman) and Diane (Susan Walters) re-join forces…for old times’ sake? How over 2,000 viewers chimed in:
Y&R: Better Man
Bad idea, 81% of you dismiss. Adam is trying to walk the straight and narrow these days and make his dad proud. Throwing his lot in with Diane again is like an alcoholic thinking he can drink socially. It’s a slippery slope. Diane will pull Adam in and, before he knows it, she’s got him seeing just how awfully Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) have treated him — even as he saved them both from Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). We can’t have that.
Young and the Restless: Victor Willing
This is all about Victor, 15% of the audience reminds. As all things should be. Adam shouldn’t do anything to upset the great man. He should go along to get along. The only reason for Adam to be in cahoots with Diane is if it starts to look like Victor is taking Adam for granted again. Which, by our estimates, should commence becoming obvious…sometime before bikini season.
Y&R: Take It
Only 4% of fans believe that the Newmans have everything Diane and Adam could possibly come up with, coming to them. They’ve treated both abominably, and still felt self-righteous about who remained the morally superior one. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) may not have actually killed Diane, but she did attempt to. Does that not count for anything? And Adam has gotten the message loud and clear: You’ll never be good enough. Go get ’em, you two!
