Wait, wait, don’t tell us, The Young and the Restless…Jordi Vilasuso is on his way out as Rey Rosales…Nicholas Newman and Sharon Rosales are suddenly spending all their time together, talking about Ashland Locke, planning Mariah Copeland and Tessa Porter’s wedding…something, something, Faith Newman is applying to college, something, something.
The Young and the Restless Polling
We know what this means, don’t we faithful Y&R viewers? Are we heading into Shick territory, Round…who can count that high? How would you feel about it?
No Reruns!
Please, please, no, 45% of you beg The Powers That Be. We’ve been down this road so many times, we’ve watched them fall in love forever – then break up five minutes later. Yes, they share history. Yes, they share children. But do they need to share the same air space? No, we don’t think so, thank you.
The Young and the Restless: Something New
We’re game for another go-around, 28% of The Young and the Restless audience shrugs, but can it be, you know, interesting, this time? We’ve done them cheating on each other. We’ve done family troubles, we’ve done medical crises. What could possibly happen with these two that we haven’t already explored?
One True Pairing
An almost equal number of you, 27%, on the other hand, know that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were always endgames. These two laid eyes on each other in high school, and that was it; we – if not they – knew there wouldn’t be anyone else for them… not long term, anyway.
It doesn’t matter if Rey dies or just disappears. He was always just a temporary distraction. And with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) now circling exclusively in Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) orbit, the only thing close to competition for Sharon is also safely neutralized. So bring on the Shick! It’s been a while and we are ready for our next fix!
