Victor told Jill that she shouldn’t take her company public on The Young and the Restless, so Jill informed Devon Hamilton and Lily that she would no longer be taking her company public. This is what Devon wanted. So everything should have been good, right?
Young and the Restless Polling
Nope, Devon (Bryton James) said. I don’t want to play with you anymore. Give me my company back. I don’t care about the contract I signed. You made me sads. Is he being unreasonable?
Y&R: Meet Me Halfway, Devon Hamilton
Yes, 29% are tired of his whining. First, he wanted to break his contract with Lily (Christel Khalil), despite not having a legal leg to stand on. Then, when Jill (Jess Walton) seemed to give in to his whims, that still wasn’t enough. Learn to compromise, man. It’s not all about you, you spoiled brat.
An almost equal amount of fans, 31%, on the other hand, think that Jill and Lily are the villains here. They acted like the company was theirs to do with as they saw fit, simply because they owned it. The nerve!
And then, they assumed that Devon would go along with their plans because, for weeks, he said that he’d be willing to go along with their plans. They should have known he meant the opposite and not taken him at his word. Now they should give him whatever he demands, to apologize for both of those things.
Devon Hamilton: Young and the Restless Mansplaining
A winning 40% of the voters thought they had a solution to this stand-off: Lily and Jill should keep Devon’s (Bryton James) company, but they should do whatever he says. That way, they win in that they don’t give up Hamilton-Winters, but Devon wins in that he will finally be the most important voice in it. They had their shot in the executive chair. They did not perform to Devon’s satisfaction. Time to stand back and let the man take over.
