Young and the Restless Chelsea Lawson
Chelsea Lawson has spent her past few weeks on The Young and the Restless going from person to person, whining about how unhappy she was. She blames Rey Rosales’s death — how dare he leave her just as Chelsea was planning to obsess over the married man she tried to murder?
She blamed Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) — how dare the man she raped and gearing up to get obsessed with pull the plug on their podcast? She blamed Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) — how dare the man she tried to frame for Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) murder not want her leaving town with their son just as school was starting? The only person Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) didn’t blame was herself. She’s the one who needs to pull her life together. And here’s how you suggest she do it:
Adam suggested Chelsea get herself some therapy — and 65% of the audience is on board. She was raised by a con artist mom who was always making Chelsea play a role to get something out of some man. Maybe she should explore how that just might have screwed her up.
If Adam won’t let Chelsea take Precious Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) with her to visit Anita (Catherine Bach), then Chelsea should go alone, 15% advise. Her son will be fine with his dad. And Chelsea can focus on herself instead of catering to the boy’s every whim. That could be therapeutic.
Is there a reason Chelsea can’t do the podcasts on her own, 12% wonder if they’ve been as helpful for her as she claims? Sure, it’s harder to get an audience with corporate millions behind you. But if this is about her, not the listeners, then who cares how many actually tune in?
Go back to fashion, 8% advise. A job might help pull you out of your head. And it will be another chance to needle Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). You know how you love that, Chels.
