When Chelsea Lawson responded to Sharon Rosales’ gentle suggestion that she might want to see a therapist on The Young and the Restless by flying off the handle and screaming that she isn’t crazy, the average person have thought… they were going a little crazy.
Young and the Restless Polling
Between throwing tantrums on the roof, throwing herself at various men, and throwing around demands when it comes to Johnny Abbott, Chelsea is clearly becoming unhinged. But is it her usual whining, or something more?
Y&R: End of Her Rope
It wasn’t even close, as 90% of Young and the Restless fans agreed that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was most definitely losing it. Maybe she worked so hard on pretending to be crazy so she wouldn’t go to jail for trying to kill Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), that she actually became the mask. Sure, thinking she could frame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for the crime was kind of nuts, but so was trying to get back together with Adam once she got out of the hospital.
So was believing that Rey was falling in love with her, when he was just being… Rey. So was promising to accept whatever decision Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) made about getting to know his biological mother, then losing it when he wasn’t interested. Chelsea has definitely gone over the edge. And it’s about time somebody calls her out on it.
Young and the Restless: Turn Around
Only 8% of the audience still have faith that Chelsea can pull out of this. She’s gone crazy before, after all. And then bounced back like it was just a cold.
We’re Good
Finally, 2% aren’t particularly concerned. Chelsea is always in one state of drama or another. She’s always pulling stunts to get attention, then cry “poor me.” She’ll be fine… just as long as she pulls some other sympathetic man into her usual web.
