When Diane Jenkins first returned on The Young and the Restless, she revealed herself to Jack Abbott, then she hightailed it to Genoa City — and didn’t let Phyllis Summers scare her away.

Young and the Restless Polling

She says all she wants is to be reunited with her son. But is there more to Diane’s (Susan Walters) plan? What almost 4,000 fans are convinced of:

Y&R: Bad To the Bone

We don’t know what her ulterior motive may be, 81% of the audience confesses, but we definitely know she has one! This is Diane we’re talking about. She’s a bad lady. She’s so bad that a bad lady like Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) called her a bad lady. So it has to be true. And that means she wants more than just a sweet reunion with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). She wants it all! (Whatever that may be).

Young and the Restless: Spare Parts

There was a big drop in agreement, as 14% of you figure Diane is in town because she’s sick and needs either bone marrow or a kidney or something. Something blood relation Kyle could definitely spare.

And if not Kyle, then how about wee Harrison? His parts have got to be nice and spry. The point is, this isn’t about reconnecting with her son and her grandson. This, like all things, is exclusively all about Diane.

Y&R: Baby Boy

Only 5% of voters seem to think Diane really is exclusively interested in being with her son again. The Diane we knew years ago, the one who made Jack’s (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis’s and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) lives miserable was a horrible person.

But she was a devoted and caring mother. Giving up Kyle was the most difficult part of playing dead and staying away, and you understand why she finally couldn’t stand it any longer. If Kyle accepts her with open arms, she won’t need anything else.
