Nicholas Newman made his sister squeal with glee on The Young and the Restless when he deigned to accept the job as her new Chief Operating Officer — a position formerly held by his mother, who was almost equally as qualified.
Young and the Restless Polling
Nick spent years reminding his family what an independent man he was and how he would make his own way in the world — with only a few million of Daddy’s dollars. Well, there went that plan! Has Nick done the right thing? Here’s what almost 4,000 fans think.
Young and Restless: Almost Out
Nearly half of the audience, 49%, is not thrilled with Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) decision. Whatever happened to standing on your own two feet? To not being at Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) beck and call? To not get caught up in his family’s drama and remain as neutral as Switzerland? Yeah, he’s done with all that. A cushy job he didn’t have to do a single thing to earn? Sign him up, please!
Stay True Young and the Restless
It might be OK, 35% of you hedge, as long as Nick can stick to his principles and not let the job take over his life. After all, Victor is not one to impose his will on his children. He lets them all come to their own decisions, and then he totally supports them. And, if they do choose to go against him, Victor isn’t one to hold a grudge. Nick should have nothing to worry about!
Young & Restless: Me, My, Mine
Newman Media is as much Nick’s legacy as it is Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle), 16% point out. He needs to leapfrog over Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who has actually stuck by Daddy the entire time, and take his rightful place as the older son. More importantly, as Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) son. You know, the only children that matter.
