To the surprise of absolutely no one, 63% of the audience picked Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case) as the woman Nick should be with — again. And again. And again. He fell in love with her in high school. They raised three kids together — and buried one. They’ve cheated on each other, and they’ve cheated with each other. They obviously can’t stay away from each other. So why keep trying all the other options out there when we — and they — know what endgame is.
Nick Newman: Hot and Bothered
Nick is obviously attracted to Sally (Courtney Hope), and 24% of you think you know why. Let’s see, scheming redhead, won’t let anything get in the way of her ambition, something of a hot mess, but no matter what, she keeps fighting back long after most people would have curled up and died. Now, who does that sound like….? Yeah. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Sally is basically a young Phyllis. It’s why Phyllis hates her so much. And obviously why Nick can’t stay away.

The Real Thing
Why mess with a carbon copy when you can have the real thing, 13% wonder. Well, Sally is younger, obviously. And she hasn’t lied to Nick nearly as much as Phyllis has. But that’s the point. Nick doesn’t know exactly what he’s getting from Sally. With Phyllis, he knows. Sure, she lied. Sure, she cheated. Sure she manipulated and used. But when she does it again, it won’t be a surprise. Or a disappointment.
