Back Again: Should JT Return To The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless viewers know what it means when a character like JT Hellstrom, who hasn’t been mentioned in years, is suddenly a hot topic of conversation.

Audra felt a need to tell Elena all about Victoria’s ex-husband, JT, and subtly suggest that bringing him back to Genoa City could be a subtle way to keep Nate away from Victoria. Elena wasn’t interested. But are you? Should JT come back?

Y&R: JT Hellstrom Is All Better Now

When last we saw JT (Thad Luckinbill), he wasn’t dead. Granted, that’s how life usually works. But, in this case, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) thought she’d killed him, and she got Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sharon (Sharon Case) to help her cover it up. JT had become abusive, and then he tormented Victoria even after “death.” So if he does come back, 29% of the audience would need him to make amends for that little gaffe, first.

JT had a brain tumor, 32% remind. He wasn’t responsible for his actions! He’s all better now. Heck, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) got forgiven for trying to kill Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and framing Adam (Mark Grossman) for it merely because she was sad. JT has an actual medical condition as an excuse. He absolutely should come back. We miss him! And maybe he can tell us where his son, Reed, is…

Young & Restless: Stay Put

We don’t need him, 39% counter. Really, what purpose would he serve? Victoria has a much more interesting ex in town, Billy (Jason Thompson), and she’s dreaming about Nate (Sean Dominic). So where would JT fit in? JT is also still technically married to Mac, with whom he has two kids, so any romance would be cheating. JT doesn’t have any other connections in Genoa City. We really don’t see where he’d fit in.
