Fans of The Young and the Restless know that Eric Braeden dealt with a couple of health issues last year. Braeden recently let fans and followers know about how his health is presently and how he’s been feeling — in a way only he could.
First, he had a knee replacement, and second, the actor who portrays Victor Newman, revealed he was fighting bladder cancer. (Refresh your memory about that here.)
Last fall, Braeden revealed he was cancer-free, and he recently took to Instagram to show viewers how he’s been feeling. In the clip, the actor sat in a car listening to the song “Missing” by No Mercy.
He did a bit of car dancing, combined with some airboxing moves. All the while, Braeden was grooving and enjoying himself. His caption read, “Feeling better and better! F YOU, CANCER!” Check it out below.
Braden’s former co-star Doug Davidson (Paul), made an interesting observation. He wrote, “I’d hate to be behind you at a stoplight!”
Others, like Melissa Ordway (Abby), Judah Mackey (Connor), and Lauralee Bell (Christine) shared their happiness and positivity by using different uplifting emoji. The Bold and the Beautiful star, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), also joined the action by sharing a flexed bicep emoji.
Fans made their happiness crystal clear at Braeden’s recovery. Perhaps one summed the whole thing up perfectly, writing, “Cancer should know better than to mess with Victor Newman! Prayers.”
Indeed. Soap Hub is thrilled to hear that Braeden is doing well in his recovery after cancer and knee replacement surgery. Perhaps he’ll show off some of his dance moves on-screen someday soon.
