Two The Young and the Restless alums, Justin Hartley (Adam) and Shemar Moore (Malcolm) star on primetime series — Hartley is the lead on Tracker, while Moore leads S.W.A.T. CBS announced a renewal for Tracker, while S.W.A.T.’s fate has not been decided.
Leading Men
Tracker, has been renewed for a third season. Hartley portrays Colter Shaw, a reliable lone-wolf survivalist who relies on his instincts to track down the missing and claim rewards, all while being driven by his troubled past. Determined and relentless, Colter will do whatever it takes to complete the job. CBS reports that Tracker attracts an average of 18 million multi-platform viewers, marking a 4% increase from the last year.
Originally set to conclude last May following a cancellation reversal and a “final” seventh season pickup, S.W.A.T. unexpectedly secured a Season 8 renewal. Inspired by both the television series and feature film, S.W.A.T. stars Moore as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, a former Marine and native Angeleno serving as a S.W.A.T. sergeant. Leading an elite tactical unit that acts as law enforcement’s last line of defense in Los Angeles, Hondo grapples with balancing his loyalty to his community and his dedication to his fellow officers. While deeply committed to his role, he is equally devoted to his marriage and fatherhood.
