Y&R Alum Victoria Rowell Teams Up With Leigh-Ann Rose On New Project

The Young and the Restless alum Victoria Rowell is still beloved by fans even though Drucilla Winters died decades ago. Rowell recently revealed an exciting new project she’s working on in Motor City, and she teamed up with Y&R’s Leigh-Ann Rose for it.

The actress took to Twitter to reveal a unique-sounding Christmas movie she’s working on with the Imani Benedict actress. She shared four photos of the people in the film with her. The caption read, “Directing exciting 2023 dram-com feature ‘CATFISH CHRISTMAS’ in #Detroit starring [Leigh-Ann Rose] and legendary #EllaJoyce [Tony Todd].”

Previously, Victoria Rowell also tweeted about the film, writing, “Taking local stills of beautiful Jake in #Detroit before directing, co-producing movie #CatfishChristmas.” The post, which you can see below, has two beautiful photos.

While there’s not much information about the movie yet, Todd recently tweeted, “It’s another wrap #CatfishChristmas Leaving #MotorCity #Detroit so much soulful history #Motown.”

While catfish is obviously a freshwater fish, it’s also a term used to describe when a person takes someone else’s photos and identifying information and creates a fake online persona. It’s unclear at this point if Rowell’s upcoming movie is about the fish or the fake personas. Either idea sounds like it could make for an intriguing story — but we may have to wait until its December release to find out.
