Here’s Why Phyllis Is On Nick’s Naughty List This Christmas on Young and the Restless

Phyllis would love a gift from Nick this Christmas, but she might find herself with a stocking filled with coal. She ended up on his naughty list, not in the fun way she would like. Phyllis has difficulty convincing Nick of Sharon’s wrongdoings on The Young and the Restless.

Just Friends?

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) proved they’re better off as friends and co-parents. They’re always there to support their daughter, Summer (Allison Lanier). However, there are times when they don’t always see eye to eye.

Remember when Summer took a page from her mother’s book by hiring a lawyer? She wanted to secure legal custody of Harrison (Redding Munsell). She didn’t feel comfortable with having him around Claire (Hayley Erin) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver).

Phyllis encouraged her “Super Girl” to take things further. However, Nick had a more laid-back approach. He believed that Summer and Kyle (Michael Mealor) could handle this outside the courtroom. That’s not the only thing Phyllis and Nick disagree on.

The Sharon Of It All

Phyllis still doesn’t believe that Sharon (Sharon Case) isn’t as innocent as she comes off. She still remembers when her archnemesis pushed her down the stairs and left her in a coma. Phyllis felt something similar would happen from that fiery wreck she was in.

Yet, Nick still feels that Sharon is innocent even when she confessed to Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder and Phyllis’ crash. Sharon and Nick are closer than Phyllis and Nick will ever be. They cultivated and nurtured that relationship over the years, which is why Nick remains on Sharon’s side.

Phyllis has yet to redeem herself. The residents of Genoa City still remember that she staged her own death. So, it’s not like she’s a reliable source these days. She tends to lead with her feelings rather than facts.

Once the truth comes out, Phyllis will surely end up on Nick’s naughty list. She’ll probably remain there for good. And Y&R fans know that Phyllis doesn’t love hearing the truth, even when she thinks she’s right.
