Kyle is mad, and on the July 3 episode of The Young and the Restless, Kyle had an ugly fight with Jack and Diane. Ultimately, Kyle left his parents stunned when he announced he planned to take Harrison and move out. They were upset, but it could be a good move for Kyle.
Big Moves
Sure, Kyle (Michael Mealor) is hurt after Diane (Susan Walters) fired him from Jabot. He lashed out really meanly at her and threw her, faking her death when he was a teen in her face. Of course, he had a good point there, but it seems like a delayed reaction for sure, considering they’ve been one big happy family since shortly after her return. Kyle even divorced Summer (Allison Lanier) over her part in the schemes against Diane.
We know that Kyle is a single father, and living in the Abbott home gives him plenty of help raising Harrison (Redding Munsell). However, we think that perhaps getting some distance from his parents might help give him some perspective. Maybe it’s exactly what Kyle needs to get over his hurt at being fired.
Right now, he’s making obviously bad choices by choosing to work with Victor (Eric Braeden) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver — who made a big change). But, continuing to live at the Abbott mansion likely wouldn’t help him realize he’d messed up. You’d think that after he nearly betrayed them the last time he was upset, Kyle would know better, but he doesn’t.
Perhaps getting space will help him be more objective about everything. Even if he goes back to work at Jabot eventually, perhaps not living and working together would be a good thing for the Abbott family as a whole. What do you think?
