For three decades, Joshua Morrow’s Nick and Sharon Case’s Sharon have enjoyed an on-again, off-again relationship on The Young and the Restless. So, too, have the actors been happy to work together for so long. Explaining that her storylines have had a much greater range than many, Morrow recently praised Case for her skill in executing them perfectly.
Chemistry is Evident
“Our careers will always be linked because we basically came on at the same time,” said Morrow to Soap Opera Digest regarding Case. He marveled that whether or not their characters were romantically involved, they’ve still had a relationship for 30 years. He also felt that Sharon was a unique character because of the turmoil she’s been through, surpassing everything other characters have had to endure. “The places they’ve taken her, the stories she’s had to tell,” he remarked, “It’s just an incredible spectrum, and she just knocks it out of the park.” He was also happy that Linden Ashby returned as Cameron, albeit as a figment of Sharon’s imagination. Morrow loves the chemistry between Case and Ashby, noting that their performances together help the storyline achieve a spectacular level.

Case Has ‘Murdered’ It
Morrow continued to be blown away by the fact that not only have he and Case worked together for several decades, but their characters have also been together for just as long. He commented on something that few TV shows can take credit for: “Where else [but on soaps] can you see a 30-year relationship?”
Using a term to mean she’s doing great, Morrow remarked that Case “murders the storyline” along with Ashby, whose contributions to his scene partner have been symbiotic. He further praised Case for her acting by stating, “I can’t wait for the fans to see what she does with this storyline with her and Cameron Kirsten and where this is going. I think the fans are really gonna love it.”
