There’s a brand-new challenge sweeping social media amid people staying at home and looking for fun things to do in light of the coronavirus pandemic. This one is The Pillow Challenge and some of your favorite The Young and the Restless stars decided to get in on the act.
The Young and the Restless Fashion Fun
It’s a simple challenge in a world where we need a little unique fashion after wearing sweats, yoga pants, and T-shirts for months hanging out in our living rooms. Tie a pillow around your waist — or even belt it if you’d like. Add accessories and just be you. Then, of course, post the finished results to Instagram as our YR ladies have done. And they each did it with a twist.
For Brytni Sarpy (Elena), we have a pillow and blanket, both accessorized with strappy sandal heels. In fact, Sarpy’s blanket looks like it could be a dress or outerwear when we get out of the house again and live our lives post-pandemic.

Kate Linder (Esther) gave the challenge her own flair and chose to use a duvet rather than a pillow. A belt with bling cinches it like a gown and it looks as if she has a tiara in her hair. We’d say it’s time for award show night when those return to our lives.
New mom Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) chose to dress her baby girl in a pillow rather than herself and called her photo “When Mom Is Behind On Laundry.” Little Josephine is wrapped in a teddy bear pillow tied together with what looks to be a floral scarf and is the absolute picture of perfection.
We’re glad to see our favorite stars having fun at home while they wait to go back to work and look forward to seeing what they come up with next. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
