October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and The Young and the Restless’ Lauralee Bell is advocating for everyone to remember this important time, and not let distractions of the COVID-19 pandemic get in the way of getting checked out.
Take Charge Of Your Health With Lauralee Bell
The actress posted a reminder on her Instagram account, talking about how she almost let her annual checkup slide.
“Especially now it’s so easy to come up with an excuse to put something off or worry it’s not safe. I got my #mammogram reminder back in April but I kept putting it under other papers on my desk,” the actress wrote. “Today I finally went. Please, if you have your reminder on your desk or in an email, book your appointment!”
Bell understands that it can be a scary time for people to leave the house—especially when it involves visiting a doctor’s office, but as she showed in her photo, you just need to protect yourself.
“Wear a mask, bring wipes and/or wear gloves or do whatever you need to make yourself feel comfortable,” Bell wrote. “Nobody is more important than you and your health.”
Last month, the actress said goodbye to the 2.72-acre Beverly Hills mansion that her parents had owned for decades when NBA superstar LeBron James purchased the estate for $36.75 million.
The Bell family purchased the property in 1986, moving from Chicago to the Los Angeles area so Bill Bell, Sr., could more closely oversee the daily production of YR, and Lauralee would be closer to work in her role as Cricket (Christine).
“This house was also where lots of story ideas were created, Y&R and B&B holiday parties took place, family bday celebrations, hysterical grandkid Easter egg hunts, our annual Christmas photo but most importantly, lots of laughs. (and of course some tears),” she posted on Instagram last month, as she and her brothers shared a final toast to the property. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
