Love triangles are common on The Young and the Restless. Whether it’s Sharon and Phyllis fighting over Nick, or Victor torn between Nikki and Ashley, these storylines provide plenty of drama. A new love triangle on the horizon, one that will have fans buzzing.

Billy Torn Between Two Redheads

Billy (Jason Thompson) has always had a complicated love life. Recently, he became single again after dumping Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) following her and Adam’s (Mark Grossman) affair.

But Mr. Abbott has gained a new love interest in Adam’s ex-girlfriend, Sally (Courtney Hope). The heartbroken pair formed a friendship, which has now taken a romantic turn. Although Sally seems like the best choice for Billy, she’ll have competition for his heart.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Y&R executive producer Josh Griffith revealed that a love triangle is coming for Genoa City’s new couple. ”I think the audience is going to be intrigued by a Billy/Sally/Phyllis triangle,” Griffith told Digest.

As many Y&R fans will remember, Billy and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) were involved in a passionate relationship several years ago. The couple’s romance ended when Billy learned that Phyllis cheated on him with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Billy retaliated by sleeping with Phyllis’ daughter Summer (now Allison Lanier).

Although they had a messy breakup, Billy and Phyllis eventually made amends. Billy even hired Phyllis as his COO as Chancellor when he was in charge. The exes could be spending more time together if Phyllis assists Billy with his takedown of Victor (Eric Braeden). Of course, this could mean trouble for Sally and Billy’s new relationship.

Phyllis has already shown hints of jealousy toward Billy and Sally. With Phyllis’ feelings for Billy rekindled, she’ll do whatever it takes to win him back. But she’s got a tough battle ahead with her longtime rival Sally. Billy will have his hands full dealing with two fiery redheads competing for his affection.
