The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, October 17 picks up with the Abbotts still dealing from the fallout of Ashley’s confession… and Jack’s response to it.
Also, Rey questioned Mariah about JT, and Billy cleared the air with Summer… with Phyllis in the room!
The morning after Jack (Peter Bergman) and the rest of the family voted Ashley (Eileen Davidson) out as the CEO of Jabot, she joined them for breakfast on the premise that they can’t vote her out of her own family.
However, soon insults were flying back and forth, followed by a discussion about whose actions were worse, Ashley for lying to Jack, Kyle (Michael Mealor) for setting up Billy (Jason Thompson), everyone else for giving Jack a pass on his historic bad behavior… there were plenty of sins to go around.
But then Dina (Marla Adams) got upset, and everyone blames Ashley for that, too. Traci (Beth Maitland) was particularly frowny-faced. At the end of the day, Ashley announced she’s moving out of the Abbott house.
Billy called Summer (Hunter King), and she gushed about how much their night together meant to her. She knew he wanted her, and she’s so happy he finally confirmed it!
Billy had to break it to her: She was a rebound, nothing more. Billy only slept with her to get back at Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Billy said. And he purposely said this as Phyllis walked in.
Friends In Need
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) questioned Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) about his relationship with Sharon (Sharon Case). He assured her their friendship is strictly platonic: Rey is married.
Rey then changed the subject to Mariah’s memory of the night JT (Thad Luckinbill) disappeared. She doesn’t have one. She passed out.
Sharon stopped the questioning, but was then somewhat taken aback when Rey assured her he told Mariah they were just friends.
