With all the danger lurking around every corner in Genoa City, it’s no wonder that The Young and the Restless cast members like Zuleyka Silver are taking gun lessons. However, on a recent excursion to a range, she had some issues and required solace from a furry friend.
Gun Sounds Were Overwhelming
Recently, Silver, who portrays Audra, shared a few videos on her Instagram stories, chronicling her journey to a gun range with a friend. The first video was her inside with protective eyewear and sound-dampening headphones, but the sounds of gunfire on her phone’s mic were so loud that you couldn’t hear her, and it was evident that a look of anxiety was creeping across her face.
Her second video was her in a car, explaining that she realized there was no audio in the prior one and simply stated that she had gone to a gun range to do some shooting. “But somewhere during the check-in process,” she began, continuing, “I started getting really anxious, and I realized that like, actually I don’t really know how to handle a gun.” (Find out who’s really the man for Audra!)
Having this anxiety, she didn’t want to take away from her companion’s enjoyment of the range, “So I just sat in the corner,” she said, adding, “I do wanna take a class.” She continued explaining that she does want to learn how to properly and safely use a gun, “But there were so many things that you’re not supposed to do that I just started checking out, and I was just like, ‘I don’t think I should do this today.’” She remarked that her time at the range “Was a very stressful experience.”
ESA Cat to the Rescue
In Silver’s third video, she assured fans that she had been to a gun range previously, so this sudden anxiety attack was unexpected, remarking with a giggle, “But, I will be taking a class, and I will show you proof of me being Lara Croft 2.0.” Then she posted a static photo of her at the gun range wearing protective eye and ear gear, with the overlaid text, “Not all y’all bullying me 😂I’m taking a class, chilllllle.”
Her final video was her relaxing with a cute, gray cat named Hemmingway, who she introduced as “An emotional support animal. He’s been prescribed to me. So he’s really comforting me right now.” She kissed him and added, “He’s a cute baby.” Silver continued, “But I think most of the time he doesn’t do his job, and I think I’m his ESA, emotional support adult.”
She reflected for a split second and then stated that she was actually Hemmingway’s assistant. She hilariously used a Spanish term that meant, “He always has me doing things for him.” Then, after reminding the cat that he should be supporting her, she patted him and cheerfully remarked, “His little fluffy fat is the most comforting thing in the world.”
