Peter Bergman Praises Stacy Haiduk

Jack might not be crazy about Patty’s return. However, Peter Bergman has nothing but kind words for Stacy Haiduk. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, he called her “a very good actress” with a “spontaneous” appeal that keeps him on his toes.

Bergman nevers know what to expect when they’re running lines or filming. It never gets stale, as she always brings something “different.” The same scene they ran over together could change in the blink of an eye.

“You rehearse and rehearse, and somehow, they say, ‘Five, four, three, two, one,’ and it’s something completely different than you’ve seen [her do in rehearsal], and that’s fun,” Bergman explained. “That’s exciting for an actor. She’s an actress who brings brand-new stuff right up to the last minute.”

Feels Like Old Times

The last time that Haiduk was on Y&R was in 2016. But Bergman admitted that it was “very easy” for them to fall back into character together again. He also didn’t find it “awkward” to get physical with her.

On Friday’s episode, Jack fell into bed with Patty. He seemingly gets drugged up, but Patty assured him that she didn’t tamper with his drink.

Bergman noted that Haiduk also didn’t feel “awkward” about immediately stripping down with him, as some actresses would. “Not with Stacy. Stacy Haiduk throws her whole body into a scene, and so it made it easier for me,” Bergman exclaimed.

Danger Lies Ahead

In the remainder of the interview, Bergman admitted that Jack’s situation “could get very dangerous very fast.” He just came face-to-face with Patty and realized that he was alone on the yacht, with no one to hear his screams.

Over the years, Jack has seen the good and the bad side of Patty. And he’s not sure what to expect this time around. Haiduk previously claimed she’s portraying a mature version of her alter ego.

But if she’s drugged him, that proves she hasn’t changed. This week, Diane (Susan Walters) will walk in and see her husband in bed with her worst nightmare. Bergman teased that Jack has “not been lucky in love in many cases.”

He warned Jack to stay with Diane, because “it can come back to bite you.” What do you think is in store for Jack and Diane? Sound off below in the comments section.
