Soap vet Eva LaRue, who last appeared on The Young and the Restless as Celeste Rosales in 2020, joined the rest of the world this past weekend to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II. However, the All My Children vet didn’t just do it in front of a TV, like most Americans. She got up close and personal with the real deal.
Eva LaRue’s Royal Weekend
As Queen Elizabeth II celebrated 70 years on the British throne with a blockbuster four-day Platinum Jubilee from June 2-June 5, in a weekend that included a blowout concert in front of Buckingham Palace and a decades-theme parade to close things off, LaRue was there for it all along with her college-age daughter, Kaya Callahan. Kaya’s dad is the late John Callahan, a beloved soap actor from his days on All My Children too, playing Edmund Grey against LaRue’s Maria Santos.
“A little travel occurrence I like to call ‘Trip Magic’! Accidentally Lucked in to a Platinum Jubilee Viewing Party through fantastic new friends! ♥️ Sight lines a bit obscured by trees, but awesome to be here just the same ♥️😜When I booked the trip I had no idea the “Plat. Jube” was even happening this week- The energy in London was electric! #platinumjubilee #plattyjubes #tripmagic,” LaRue wrote on Instagram next to a series of photos and videos of the palace pageantry most of the world saw on screens.
LaRue shared other photos of herself and Kaya in London, as well, including one in front of The Tower of London and another with Westminster Abbey in the background. It looks like LaRue has been traveling a lot of late, as she also shared a snap of herself at Yosemite Park in May.
The actress has been gone from the daytime scene for two years, but her character can always return to Genoa City to revive the Rosales presence in town.
