Sharon Newman has had extraordinary ups and downs over the years on The Young and the Restless. As she spirals toward even more intense moments, her portrayer Sharon Case opened up about the thrills to come.
It Was a Scary Shoot
In January, Sharon had a dream on Y&R in which she was no longer dating Chance (Conner Floyd) and after waking up, she eventually made that happen. The episode centered only on her character, with various supporting Genoa City denizens making it even weirder. Now, another episode focused only on her will air on September 27.
She told Soaps that she found it “Almost a little scary” while shooting the episode. But what made it even scarier than the previous Sharon-only episode was that “There were a lot of other cast members involved in the dream episode.” She elaborated that in the upcoming one, it’s just her for the most part, and she recalled after looking at the script, “I’m on every page!”
Excitement for the Episode
She wondered how she was going to pull it off and further noted that the episode was not a dream or outside of the show’s universe. “It’s very connected to the storyline that’s going to be unfolding over the next few weeks.” Everyone involved in the production is keeping mum about what’s going to happen.

She considered it one of her character’s “Greatest storylines ever” and further remarked, “It’s a storyline I’ve always wanted to do, but the timing was never right.” She’s truly thrilled about it and feels that it will definitely eclipse most of Sharon’s previous storylines, adding that she’s excited for the fans to watch it.
