Michael Graziadei Proposes to Longtime Girlfriend on The Talk

Michael Graziadei and co-stars Christel Khalil, Bryton James, and Camryn Grimes all dropped by The Talk to celebrate The Young and the Restless’s 50th anniversary. Graziadei had something else very personal to celebrate, too!

Michael Graziadei Gets Engaged

The actor, who returned to Y&R as Daniel Romalotti last year, proposed to his longtime girlfriend Lauren on the show. “This is my beautiful girlfriend, Lauren [Carey],” Graziadei said. “We’ve spent the better half of 10 years together…she’s given me beautiful twins [Arlo and Bear] and I just wanted to do something special for your birthday.

The Big Question

“So I was thinking, you know, how there is no one on this earth that I would rather grow old and die with,” the actor emotionally continued. “So, I was wondering…will you marry me?”

Unlike on soaps, viewers didn’t have to tune in the next day to see Carey’s positive response. “Is that a yes? She said yes!” Graziadei enthused! Carey reacted: “I love you…I guess I can thank you two [Khalil and James] for this because he can afford the ring now.”

Michael Graziadei: Family On-Screen and Off

Talk host Akbar Gbajabiamila asked, “Did you feel this coming?” Carey shared, “I mean it’s been 10 years, so I figured it was never going to happen.” Grimes adds, “We’ve been with each other through the good and the bad, the highs, the lows, break ups, you know, losses and marriages. You’re looking at it, you’re looking at the connectivity of a family, and we’re just so lucky that we get to be with each other every day.”
