Young and the Restless Star Mark Grossman Goes Deep Into His Family Roots

Mark Grossman is a far cry from his character, Adam Newman, on The Young and the Restless. Adam became the poster child for people who are the black sheep of their family. 

That’s not the case for Grossman. He dug deep into his roots, which brought him to an unlikely place. This time, Grossman traveled to Amish country in Pennsylvania. He shared photos of his trip with fans. 

Grossman Gets Back to His Roots

The soap actor revealed that he visited his family. It’s been a while since he last went to Parkesburg. Grossman posted a series of photos in a new Instagram post. In the first photo, he walked up a gravel driveway with a shocked expression. He wore head-to-toe black, which made him stand out.

An Amish girl made an appearance in the shot. Grossman also took photos with his family. The CBS actor included a clip of cows grazing as he drove into the countryside. It’s a far cry from Genoa City. (See What’s Going On With Adam On Y&R.)

There were also shots of an auction, barn, tractor, and horses plowing a field. Grossman rounded out his post with a framed crochet image that read, “I Will Build Myself a Farm.” 

“The Grossman roots run deep here in Southeastern Pennsylvania,” he wrote in the caption. “After 18 years away, it sure is great to be back.”

Parkesburg is a small town with a population of 4,000 people. It’s home to Amish attractions, such as markets and campsites. When you visit this town, you feel like you’re in another world. It’s the perfect escape from the craziness of Los Angeles.

Y&R fans loved seeing this glimpse into Grossman’s roots. Some recalled the time when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) purchased Hope Wilson’s (Signy Coleman) farm in the early ’90s. Although he looked out of his soap element, Grossman still enjoyed visiting his family. As you can see, there is no drama in this quiet town.
