Since appearing on The Young and the Restless, Tammin Sursok has taken on a whole new role. So far, she has starred in one Hallmark Christmas movie but is eyeing more. The actress is familiar with dedicated fan bases involving Y&R and Pretty Little Liars. However, she felt that fans of Hallmark movies are somewhat cultish.
The Cult Of Hallmark
Sursok talked about Hallmark’s viewers in a new interview. She appeared on the Australian podcast Something to Talk About, where she shared her journey from Y&R and PLL to Hallmark movies. Sursok’s latest film was Trivia At St. Nick’s, where she reunited with PLL co-star Brant Daugherty. Sursok talked about Hallmark’s fan base, which she described as the “Cult of Hallmark.”
She had no idea how popular these made-for-TV films were. Sursok is from South Africa, but moved to Nashville with her husband. “I didn’t know how many people [watch]. My goodness!” Sursok exclaimed. She said the following was “like a cult,” but she meant it in a positive way. Sursok can relate because the network brings comfort, especially during challenging times. Hallmark movies don’t have any politics or drama.
“That’s what Hallmark does so well. Hallmark movies are, like, what people live and die by here. I didn’t know I was part of the cult until I became a part of it. You know, I think it’s because life can be intense, especially as a parent,” Sursok shared. Also, in the interview, Sursok shared that she no longer “fakes it.” She has a new attitude and approach to life, especially as she enters 2025.

Manifesting It Into Reality
She loved starring in a feel-good Christmas movie. Sursok is ready to do more movies with the network. She revealed that she is “manifesting” to star in three more movies. Sursok recalled that fellow PLL costars Daugherty, Ian Harding, and Janel Parrish have already starred in multiple films on the network.
