Lucy has already been struggling on The Young and the Restless. She tried so hard to impress Faith and failed. In the meantime, the hits keep coming for the Romalotti family. Lucy was horrified to learn about her mother’s death on the October 3 episode, and it could fuel a downward spiral for the troubled teen. Genoa City may have more tragedy before this all plays out.
Lucy’s Struggles
Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) has struggled with peer pressure. She was tempted to try alcohol. She wanted to impress the Queen Bee of Genoa City, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). Lucy’s obsession concerned her parents.
They didn’t think it was healthy for them to hang out. They would rather that Lucy make friends her own age. Lucy acted like a fangirl. She even bought Faith a friendship bracelet and stole alcohol when they went to a concert together.
Meanwhile, Sharon (Sharon Case) has been out for revenge. She wanted to poison Daniel (Michael Graziadei) for killing her daughter Cassie (Camryn Grimes). However, she ended up blacking out and possibly killing Heather (Vail Bloom).
From BFFs to Enemies?
Meanwhile, Lucy feels regret about her relationship with her mom. She doesn’t remember the last time she told her she loved her. She knows how much trouble she’s caused her mom lately. It’s also possible that Heather’s death could cause Lucy to rebel. She might turn back to alcohol to soothe the pain.
This could add a twist to this tragic storyline. The news of Heather’s death could cause Lucy to push Faith away. She could even seek revenge on her if she finds out that Sharon murdered her mother.
Heather’s death could cause a bigger rift among the families. Sharon’s family has yet to learn about her possible act of revenge. They’ve been worried about her well-being, especially since she’s been off her bipolar meds.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) must get Sharon the help she needs. Her mental health could cause another tragedy in Genoa City. However, a spiraling and troubled Lucy could be the one to cause the tragedy next time.
