Lucy just spent an entire episode eavesdropping on her The Young and the Restless parents loudly discussing how they want to be together, how they can’t be together, and how they have to keep their being together a secret for now. Heather wondered why Daniel couldn’t just fly out to California to tell Lily they were dunzo. Daniel yadda, yadda, yadda’ed it away. He’s going to wait for Lily’s return. But will his plans keep Lily away from Genoa City indefinitely?
Third Party
There has to be a reason we got all those scenes of Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) listening in on Heather (Vail Bloom) and Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) conversation, and grinning every time they said how badly they wanted to be a family again.
What if it was so Lucy could hear that the only thing keeping Mommy and Daddy from reuniting for good is Lily (Christel Khalil), and her return from California? And what if Lucy decides to take matters into her own hands? Remember, this child is the granddaughter of none other than Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Her DNA is fundamentally against just standing by and letting life happen. Especially if it’s happening in a manner she doesn’t like.
Jumping the Gun
So what if Lucy decides to give Lily a little ringy-dingy herself? She can “innocently” tell Lily how sorry she is that Daniel dumped her. Oh? Daniel hasn’t dumped her yet? That’s so weird. Because he and her mom are back together, and Daniel said he’d be filling Lily in. Lucy assumed he’d done so by now. Oh, what a faux pas! Oh, well, bye-bye!
Two Roads Divurged
Lily will have two choices then: Head right back to Genoa City to slap her high school boyfriend around. Or keep her distance, play dumb, and torture both Daniel and Heather. We know which option we’d prefer. But what about her?
