On the Tuesday, November 15 episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis admitted that she lied about having evidence against Sharon and that she only made it up to trick Sharon into confessing. Here is how Phyllis’ belief that she is always the smartest person in the room is what will make it possible for Sharon to never pay for her role in Heather’s death.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) confessed to not having actual evidence pointing to Sharon’s (Sharon Case) role in Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder and to deliberately publicly accusing Sharon of the crime as a way to harass her. She also chose to do this in front of a cop.
Phyllis made her admission to Chance (Conner Floyd), the cop investigating what really happened with Heather. Chance, an officer of the court. A war hero. He’ll make an awesome witness if/when the case actually comes to court.

Chance will get on the stand and testify to what Phyllis told him, which will make any jury harbor reasonable doubt when it comes to convicting Sharon. In front of Chance. A cop.

Even if Sharon breaks down and confesses, her attorney will be able to ask: Did Phyllis not flat out state that she planned to harangue and harangue and harangue Sharon (a woman with a history of mental illness) until she cracked and confessed to…anything? How can we trust that she knew what she was saying when Phyllis made it her mission to ensure Sharon didn’t know if she was coming or going?
We don’t know what a petard is. But we’re pretty sure Phyllis is about to be hoisted by hers. Every single thing she did to make Sharon look guilty…is going to be what leads to her being found innocent.
