Lily offered Billy a deal on the June 20 episode of The Young and the Restless. Let Devon and Nate have the Winters part of Chancellor-Winters back, and Lily and Billy will run Chancellor together. Or should she say they’ll run Chancerllor-Abbott together? Billy grinned. Yay! Whee! He is getting his way. He is such a smart businessman. But is Lily lulling Billy into a false sense of confidence — by exploiting his grossly over-inflated self-confidence — for her own purposes? We can only hope.
Remembrance Day
Why would Lily (Christel Khalil) be harboring a grudge against Billy (Jason Thompson), fans may wonder? After all, they’re old news.
Her heart was most recently broken by Daniel cheating on Lily with Heather (Vail Bloom). But Daniel being a jerk doesn’t nullify the fact that Billy (Jason Thompson) did the same to Lily, by having an emotional affair with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) long before he and Lily officially broke up.
Lily got back at Daniel by asserting that Chancellor-Winters would keep ownership of the video game he developed for them (even though they recently reached a compromise). But putting Daniel in his place doesn’t mean Lily should give up on doing the same to Billy.
Get Smart
Billy thought he was king of the world when his mommy gave him a job at the company built up by her former baby daddy (not Billy’s daddy, his half-brother Phillip’s). Billy was feeling so confident that he insisted the company built by his mother’s ex-baby daddy also add the name of his mother’s ex-husband, Billy’s father, John Abbott, to it.
Billy claimed he was doing it to honor his mother. Anyone with eyes and ears could tell he was doing it to honor himself. And to throw his weight around.
Girl Power
So Lily went straight for that ego point when she offered Billy the chance to run Chancellor-Abbott along with her. She knew he’d see it as her way of admitting he was the superior businessman and negotiator. Which meant he wouldn’t look too deeply at the fine print. Please tell us that Lily remembered to include the fine print.
