The Young and the Restless fans can’t stop discussing the promo for the new season of ABC’s The Bachelor. Some are convinced they heard the soap’s iconic theme song.
What’s That Sound?
Y&R fans have been listening closely to The Bachelor’s latest promo. Ellis Grant kicked off his journey to love on Monday, January 27. He met 25 women who were vying for his attention. ABC unveiled a new Instagram reel that showed some women crying. Drama is already unfolding in the mansion. Grant claims he’s not a “drama llama,” but the clip shows differently. He has a hard time following his heart. Some of the women end up brokenhearted.
One viewer thought they heard the Y&R theme song playing. However, it was actually the song “No More Drama” by Mary J. Blige. This caused confusion on a recent Reddit thread. “They actually played Y&R theme on the Bachelor, 💀” the original poster wrote. “Actually, they’re playing Mary J. Blige’s song, No More Drama, and the song sampled Y&R,” one fan responded. “That’s hilarious. Well, they ARE young and restless on that show it looks like. Never have seen it, but I’m taking an educated guess,” a third user joked.
Details Behind the Y&R Theme Song
The promo had fans wondering what song Y&R uses in its intro sequence. Ever since its premiere, the classic soap has used the instrumental “Nadia’s Theme” by the great Henry Mancini. Mary also sampled the instrumental for her 2001 hit song. One fan corrected the OP, writing, “The theme to YnR is called Nadia’s Theme and is a song that YnR uses; it is not their song. We hear it on Sirius XM all the time.”
Another user noted, “I’ve ALWAYS called it Nadia’s Theme, although I remember it from a movie🤔. Y&R uses it perfectly. Best soap intro❤️.” A third user came up with a clever idea. They think The Bachelor should’ve borrowed General Hospital’s theme song instead. “Not ABC acting like GH doesn’t exist to them, 💀” they wrote.
