Tony Morina is out as executive producer at The Young and the Restless. The former showrunner is speaking to Soap Hub exclusively about his departure from the top-rated soap.
“After 16 years, it’s time to move on to other things,” Morina confirms to Soap Hub. “I’m most proud of keeping the show going over the last two and a half years through COVID once we returned after the initial production shutdown.”
Morina began his daytime career as a director, directing episodes of Santa Barbara, General Hospital, Port Charles, Sunset Beach, and other soap operas. He joined Y&R in 2007 as Supervising Producer. Morina took over as Y&R’s showrunner following the exit of Mal Young.
