Remember the days when family members would return to a show for a wedding? The Young and the Restless does! On the heels of beloved favorites returning for Chance and Abby’s wedding, now, Celeste and Arturo are coming back for Rey and Sharon’s nuptials!
Two The Young and the Restless Comebacks
According to Soap Opera Digest, Eva LaRue, who won a Daytime Emmy for her portrayal of Celeste in the category of Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series, and Jason Canela (Arturo) are returning to Genoa City for Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) New Year’s Eve wedding.
LaRue came onto the YR scene in 2019 with much fanfare. Viewers were hoping the show would pair Celeste with Jack (Peter Bergman). Arturo exited the canvas after it came out that he was the father of Mia’s (Noemi Gonzalez) unborn baby.
Might the two be sticking around? It’s impossible to say right now. However, Jack is still single and is now looking for love (hmmm…). Of course, Celeste may be interested in exchanging a few words with ex-son-in-law Kyle (Michael Mealor), who broke her daughter Lola’s (Sasha Calle) heart. That could certainly bring her into Jack’s orbit.
Also, how might Abby (Melissa Ordway), now wed to Chance, respond to seeing Arturo again should their paths intersect? Anything’s possible in the world of soaps!
Rey has stood by Sharon (Sharon Case) during her cancer ordeal. The detective has been working on Adam’s (Mark Grossman) shooting while Sharon has been trying to get her ex some help for his inner struggles, which often lead him to commit (or think about committing) desperate acts!
Since exiting YR, Canela has lent his voice to two video games: Far Cry 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. LaRue’s post-YR credits include Finding Love in Quarantine. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
