The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden continues to win fans’ hearts as the powerful Victor Newman, and he also shines in the social media realm by sharing his opinions. During this year’s Olympic events, the former German Youth Team Championship in Discus, Javelin, and Shot Put and U.S. National Soccer Championship with the Los Angeles Maccabees winner, excitedly celebrated America’s triumphs, which his fans unanimously agreed upon.

Blown Away By the Athleticism

On July 27, Eric Braeden posted on X, formerly Twitter, his enthusiastic love for the USA’s tremendous efforts during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. “I have to say, gymnasts have balls!!” he declared, incredulously adding, “Some of their routines are breathtaking!! TEAM USA IS DAMN GOOD! Did an unbelievable opening on the POMMEL HORSE! They are fantastic athletes!!!”

Most likely, part of what blew him away was first-time Olympian Paul Juda’s spectacular turn on the pommel horse on July 27 that sent him to the men’s all-around final, according to NBC News. Stephen Nedoroscik also wowed viewers and judges alike, pushing the U.S. men’s gymnastics team forward (via AP).

Considering the athletes generally have less than a minute to complete their routines, the triumphs were impressive. One fan who understands what goes into making an Olympic-level athlete successful responded, “You know, Eric, I always think of the hundreds of hours spent just practicing one move alone till they get it finally and then spend hundreds of more hours finally being consistent with it. Such motivation, focus and determination with a distant goal such as the Olympics. Admire.”

Braeden responded with numerous thumbs up emojis, signifying his heartfelt agreement with the fan. (Find out how the Olympics affected Peacock’s subscription fee.)

His Passion Connected Him With His Fans

One of Braeden’s followers responded, “That pommel horse always amazes me! I have no idea how they do that!”

Illustrating how his personal skills go beyond acting, Braeden shockingly replied, “I had my worst brain concussion being pushed off the pommel horse by a fellow just joking around! In GERMAN HIGHSCHOOL, we had to do gymnastics!” The fan expressed their surprise at the Y&R star’s admission, following things up with, “That’s wild, I can’t even imagine! I’m so glad you were ok!”

Ever the strong-willed guy, Braeden stated, “Out cold!! But I got the better of him a long time after that!!” He praised a few other fans who stated that they had also engaged in gymnastics, and when one asked what Braeden had specialized in when he did the sport, his response was, “Shot put, discus and javelin! Substitute in the 400 meters!” While there was some controversial discussion of opinions regarding the opening ceremonies, the overall conversation was positive, with Braeden leading the charge as a fan himself.

Even after overcoming his health issues, Braeden continues to impress his fans with his enthusiasm and passion for life!
