CBS inks 2-year deal to broadcast Daytime Emmys in primetime.
The 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards will be releasing their nominations on Wednesday at 12 pm ET/9 am PT, but there was a huge announcement on Tuesday evening about one of the major categories.
The official Daytime Emmys Twitter account revealed, “The full list of #DaytimeEmmys nominations won’t be out until 12p ET / 9a PT tomorrow, but you can get a sneak peek at FIVE special categories by tuning in TONIGHT to @etnow @accesshollywood @extratv and @enews!”
So what was revealed? Apparently, Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Lead Actor — and the nominees are:

Sharon Case, Sharon on The Young and the Restless
Melissa Claire Egan, Chelsea on The Young and the Restless
Finola Hughes, Anna on General Hospital
Michelle Stafford, Phyllis on The Young and the Restless
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Steffy on The Bold and the Beautiful
Outstanding Lead Actor
Maurice Benard, Sonny on General Hospital
Peter Bergman, Jack on The Young and the Restless
Billy Flynn, Chad on Days of our Lives
Thorsten Kaye, Ridge on The Bold and the Beautiful
Jason Thompson, Billy on The Young and the Restless
In addition, there was one more category released that would be of interest to soap fans.
