The Young and the Restless star Camryn Grimes wants people to share this message with her son. She also beat the mommy shamers to the punch. The soap star had dealt with so much unnecessary hate on social media lately.
She’s a Cool Mom
In December 2023, Grimes welcomed her son, Bridger Elias, with her fiancé, Brock Powell. She often shares her motherhood journey on social media. Most women lose their identities after becoming first-time moms, but that’s not true with Grimes.
She still makes time for “me” time and the things she enjoys. Grimes also explored new things about herself. Over the weekend, the CBS star posted a photo of herself in the middle of a field. Grimes wore a black cropped T-shirt under a chambray shirt and distressed denim shorts.
She finished off her outfit with black ankle boots and a crossbody bag. Her signature red hair was styled down in soft curls. She looked over her right shoulder as she posed at the event. Colorful flags stood behind her, and people were walking around the grounds.
“Tell Bridger his mom goes to music festivals now,” Grimes captioned the shot.
Grimes tagged the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which lasted for two weekends, from Friday, October 4, to Sunday, October 13. This year’s headliners include Blink-182, Chappell Roan, Chris Stapleton, Dua Lipa, Foster the People, Tyler, the Creator, and Teddy Swims.
No Mommy Shaming Here
Grimes’ message immediately shut down the haters. Unfortunately, there are mommy shamers on social media who make new moms feel guilty for having an active social life. That wasn’t the case in the comment section.
Most Y&R fans were supportive of Grimes’ interest in music festivals. Other fans were jealous and wished they could’ve seen such an epic lineup. One fan wrote, “So jealous, I wanted to see Teddy Swims so badly! Have fun!!! Be safe!”
Another user commented: “Tell Bridger his mom is a rock goddess aside from being a soap opera star.” Even fellow Y&R star Brytni Sarpy shared her support with the following message: “Yassssssss Cammy.”
Some fans would love to see Grimes run into pop superstar Chappell Roan. That would’ve made for an iconic photo. The new mom is having the time of her life, and she deserves to.
