Billy knows what happened between Chelsea and Adam on The Young and the Restless. He keeps pressing Chelsea to come clean. To the point where she had to tell him they needed to take a break, and she all but confessed on August 22. Sally is pretty sure that she knows what happened, too. She keeps pressing Adam to come clean. He won’t. Sally has had enough. However, whether or not either Chelsea or Adam confesses to their hookup, Billy will still need to control the situation. Here’s how he could do it.
Illicit sex on soaps has two consequences: The truth coming out and causing drama. And a pregnancy. Which eventually comes out and causes drama. From the moment they hit the sheets, fans have felt pretty certain that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will end up pregnant.
The only question is: How will she handle the situation? More importantly, how will Billy (Jason Thompson) allow her to handle it?
Billy has declared himself The Keeper of Chelsea’s Mental Health. He knows what’s best for her. She even kind of believes it. So when Chelsea becomes pregnant, will she also believe Billy’s pronouncement that she cannot possibly have another child with Adam (Mark Grossman)?
Look how much drama they went through with Precious Connor (Judah Mackey — who shared this BTS). Does she really want to double that?
The obvious best course of action here is to claim the baby is Billy’s. That way, Adam won’t have any say over how Chelsea raises the child, and there won’t be yet another custody tussle.
Plus, it will help preserve Adam and Sally’s (Courtney Hope) relationship. After all, Sally lost her and Adam’s daughter, Ava Hope. Chelsea doesn’t want to rub salt in her wounds by giving Adam a second, perfect, wonderous, amazing child, does she? The right, noble, and selfless thing to do is for Chelsea to pass the baby off as Billy’s. And he’ll go along with it as long as Chelsea returns to him. And does things his way. That’s fair, right?
