On The Young and the Restless, Judah Mackey, portrays Adam and Chelsea’s son, Connor Newman. Connor’s current storyline has him dealing with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The actor recently shared an important behind-the-scenes moment with a storyline update.

Mackey took to Instagram to share a series of photos of himself behind the scenes on set at Y&R. He wrote an important update alongside the pictures. “BTS [Young and the Restless] Thank you to all the awesome #YR fans for tuning in and sharing your kind words, support, and experiences during this important storyline,” he wrote.
“My character and his family struggling to cope with his OCD diagnosis and navigate treatment is very relevant because mental health affects so many kids and families. There are a lot of misconceptions and we really need to change the way we think and talk about mental health. I hope telling this story brings awareness and understanding to kids’ mental health and encourages others to know there’s hope and they’re not alone.

The Bold and the Beautiful actor Henri Joseph Samiri (Douglas) replied with several clapping emoji. Mackey’s co-star Paxton Mishkind (Johnny) also responded, writing, “Awesome job brousin! 👏🙌” The soap’s official account also loved the BTS update from the young actor.
