The Young and the Restless character Lauren Fenmore Baldwin freaked out on Sally Spectra after learning that Victoria Newman chose Sally’s wedding dress. That comes off as more than just a little hypocritical coming from Genoa City’s original mean girl.
Lauren Has A History Of Backstabbing On The Young And The Restless
We think Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) might have something to say about Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) high and mighty act to Sally (Courtney Hope). After all, she had few qualms about stabbing Traci in the back to get her man. Sure, that’s all water under the bridge these days, but we haven’t forgotten.
Lauren is also willing to do whatever it takes to keep Fenmore’s on the map. We think if she’d take an honest look at things, she’d realize she’d do precisely what Sally did given the chance. She has a history of betraying others, including her husband, Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc). There’s a saying about people in glass houses, and we predict Lauren’s might shatter around her if she returns to her mean girl ways.
Lauren Wasted Sally Spectra’s Talent
Don’t forget that Lauren fired Sally. She failed to recognize what a talented designer she had. Lauren could’ve had Sally on her team, but she wasted it. Business is business, and what Sally did to Summer Newman (Hunter King) wasn’t the worst thing to ever happen on The Young and the Restless.
We can see that Lauren might feel upset that she lost out on the great publicity of designing Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding dress. However, she overreacted to losing out to Sally. The fact is, Sally designed a better dress, and Lauren failed to give Victoria what she wanted. Sally owed Lauren absolutely nothing.
This outraged Lauren reminds us a lot more of her mean girl past considering she’s been so live and let live these days. That said, we enjoyed a glimpse of the feisty Lauren of the past even if she’s over-the-top about Sally’s wedding dress design beating hers.
