The world was saddened by the news of the death of actress/director Penny Marshall, including Kristoff St. John, who guested on an ABC sitcom alongside the beloved star when he was just a boy.
St. John, as his fans know, started out as a child actor. He appeared as Booker Brown in scenes with Marshall’s Laverne DeFazio.
But, it wasn’t on Marshall’s sitcom Laverne & Shirley that he guested on, but rather on Happy Days, the show on which Laverne and Shirley (Cindy Williams) first appeared!
The actor posted some clips of his work with Marshall and also Williams and Happy Days star Ron Howard.
St. John wrote that years later, he ran into Marshall and was pleasantly surprised she had not only recognized him, but noted he’d continued on with acting.
As he was re-introducing himself to the actress, St. John recalls that she “stopped me and said, Booker Brown! I’ve seen you on TV a lot since then!'”
